Early Hair Loss Intervention

Early Hair Loss Intervention

Dr. Kim Min-seung, director of Aini Clinic and senior international academic director of the Korean Society for Laser Dermatology and Hair, stated, "Inquiries about hair loss treatment are increasing, but unfortunately, many patients miss the appropriate treatment timing due to a lack of awareness about early hair loss." According to the National Health Insurance Service, the hair loss population in Korea reaches approximately 10 million people. About 20% of the Korean population is concerned about hair loss. In 2022, the proportion of hair loss patients aged 10 to 30 accounted for 46.9% of the total, nearly half. Dr. Kim advised, "Symptoms of early hair loss can be easily observed in daily life, such as a large amount of hair accumulating in the drain after shampooing, thinning and weakening hair, or a visible thinning crown when viewed from above. If such early hair loss symptoms begin to appear, it is important to start management quickly." Dr. Kim Min-seung explained, "Hair loss does not occur suddenly but shows a progressive process where hair gradually thins or the amount of hair loss increases. Early intervention to slow down the progression of hair loss is most important, and various methods such as home care, mesotherapy, and pharmaceuticals are available for this." Dr. Kim advised, "It is important not to stop at examinations and treatments after visiting the hospital, but to receive recommendations for technologically advanced products that extend to home care, which is key for early hair loss, and to manage it systematically."
