Core Principles

Learn how the procedure works and what technologies and devices are used.

BDDE Cross-Linked Hyaluronic Acid Non-animal (Streptococcus-fermented) hyaluronic acid cross-linked with BDDE (1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether), injected into the dermis and subdermis. Degree of cross-linking determines hyaluronidase resistance and longevity.

Vycross Technology (High- and Low-MW HA Blend) Applied in Allergan Juvederm Voluma/Volbella/Volux. Vycross blends high- and low-MW HA to improve cross-linking efficiency, achieving comparable longevity at lower HA concentrations with reduced swelling.

Important Precautions

Pre- and post-procedure precautions. Review carefully for safe and effective results.

Resistance WarningComplex proteins in Botox can trigger antibody production leading to resistance, so avoid excessive treatments within a short period.
Post-Procedure ProhibitionsAvoid alcohol, saunas, steam rooms, and vigorous massage for one week after the procedure.
Posture Caution for 4 Hours After TreatmentDo not press or lie down on the treated area for 4 hours after Botox treatment. The product can diffuse to unintended muscles, causing asymmetry or unnatural expressions.
Avoid Sauna and Steam After FillerAvoid saunas, steam rooms, and strong sun exposure for 1 week after filler treatment. High temperatures can accelerate hyaluronic acid breakdown and worsen swelling.
